Juneathon – Days 10, 11 & 12
It’s official – I now have the sharpest elbows in London! Having had to fight people for some pavement the last few days, what with the Tube strike n’ all, normal service has now been returned. However, the strike meant that as expected, I’ve had to do a fair bit more walking that usual. Wednesday (Day 10) I had to walk to and from work, 7.65km each way, so a total of 15.3km, then Thursday (Day 11) I just had to walk home having managed to have sharp enough elbows to garner my way onto a bus to get to work (even though it took just as long to travel by bus with all the extra traffic as it would have done if I’d walked!) so just 7.65km towards Juneathon. Today (Day 12) was again another walk, because I had to stop off at Euston to pick up some train tickets for work, so decided to walk the rest of the way. I’ve no idea how far in distance, but it took me 25mins, although I am wearing silly shoes that flop around a bit so I wasn’t exactly marching along… I’m bored of walking now.
Not quite sure what the weekend will provide in terms of Juneathon as I’m off to the country for the weekend – to visit the Parentals… probably more walking, as that’s what people do in the country! However there won’t be any blogging as (a) I’ll be eating far too many of Mummy’s home cooked goodies to bother, (b) their computer still runs on batteries and they’ve never heard of broadband… Roll on 6pm!
Have a good weekend everybody!
’till the next time…
