Juneathon – Day 6

Pathetic.  After yesterdays pretty wimpy plod, I thought I’d try for something a bit more impressive today.  But after getting up really late (and I mean really late) and making myself some delicious American Style Blueberry Pancakes with plenty of Maple Syrup, I then got caught up on the computer for several hours before being able to get out the door.

Blueberry Pancakes

Despite legs feeling rather heavy, I thought I’d make a start and see what happened.  Nothing.  That’s what happened.  Did the warm up, all OK. Started the plod proper which was OK-ish but I think I set off a bit too fast, which resulted in me slowing down, then slowing down some more eventually coming to such a slow plod that after 10 minutes it was better to just turn todays Juneathon activity into a walk.  So that’s what I’m including today.  A walk.  Like I said, pathetic.  Still, it was a 3.1k walk, and like they say at Tesco – Every Little Helps!

Till the next time…

  1. Where do you find maple syrup in this country? I have looked *everywhere* (including the aforementioned Tesco) and can’t find either premade syrup or maple flavoring to make it myself.
