Untouchable
Ouch, Ouch, Ouch, Ouch, Ouch… seriously, OUCH!
It’s been a great week! The sun has been glorious all week, I started work on a new show which I’m really enjoying, and I managed to fit in training on both Tuesday and Thursday night and did the 25 min plod both times. Brilliant!
So, yesterday I got up full of the joys of spring, with the intention of doing some gardening. The plan was to cut the grass first, then put a few more bulbs in around the place, so that I’d have some lovely flowers later in the summer, then get the chairs out and enjoy a glass of something delicious in the evening sun… but disaster struck. Leaning over to hoe the ground ready for the bulbs, I felt something in my back go snap! And not just a twinge of an ‘ouch’, a proper scream out in pain ‘SNAP’.
I’m pretty sure it’s a muscle rather than a disc problem, but I’m in agony. I can’t walk – only shuffle. I can’t even stand up straight, I can barely move. I’m so upset. Hopefully I won’t be out of action for too long, but my training will certainly suffer, which puts the whole 10k in doubt.
Fingers crossed, I’ll fix quickly, and then I can get back to the plodding. But for today, I’m propped up with 5 cushions on the sofa feeling rather sorry for myself.
‘Till the next time…
xoxo
